Summary/Abstract: The historic monuments of the culture are an echo of a past epoch, which reminds us the ability of the people to construct and fit their lives. They have the marks of the time, in which they were made and the endeavour to better life. If some of them were destroyed by one or another reason, we must keep the remnants. The article presents brief historical information and data about the current state of emblematic buildings in Shumen.
