Summary/Abstract: The sizing of the area organization of the basilicas is invariably related to the perspective of the temple visible from the atrium and the narthex, which is oriented along the longitudinal axis to the altar. Thus, the rectangular composition of the basilica is sacred and with certain content. Both basilicas of Garmen are considered in such a point of view. The study of the metric dependencies in the plan of the temples shows the basis of its construction, based on the golden section and its derivatives. The sizing and design of the monument were carried out mostly according to the geometric system. The modular system also participates in the practical implementation of the construction on the terrain. All these regularities are the basis of the volume restoration of the temple, which is confirmed by the graphic representation of the internal distribution of the individual structural elements and the design of the facade panels. The harmonious combination of all the details is due to the metric dependencies that come from the irrational system. It is based on proportions and some derivatives of modular relations. The constructive principles of the two early Christian basilicas in Garmen prove that they are designed and built after established traditions in construction practice.
