The Preposition. Preliminary Explanations on the Theoretical Approach (I

Summary/Abstract: During the evolution of Romanian language, prepositions multiply and become different all the time. Various structures in the old language are replaced by new ones. The great functional variety of prepositions, the possibility to express syntactic relations through different prepositions, the influence of some analogical structures, the desire to avoid many genitives or the repetition of the same preposition are some of the reasons for which the prepositions are given different interpretations by speakers. This is also the argument of the present study. In this part of the study, we try to reorder the theoretical frame of the lexical-grammatical class of preposition.
