Summary/Abstract: The fact that Turkish palatalized consonants ḱ and ǵ are rendered ć and ‹đ› =, respectively, in Croatian and Serbian was not discussed in detail thus far. This author is trying to settle the source(s), the mechanism, the time and the place of the change.
