Summary/Abstract: The customs and beliefs associated with the preparation of embroidery and textiles in general in Macedonia may be perceived array elements and archaic ritual actions that are attached to them with similar specific wider Slavic araeal. At its basis are preserved traces of many older rituals, customs and beliefs with apothropeic character, grounded in archaic cultures developed in these areas.
