Summary/Abstract: The DRAAMA Festival and Baltic Theatre Forum organized in Tartu, Estonia has a tradition going back to the year 2003. After last year’s limited online participation, this year’s festival welcomed international guests again to the shows and adjacent programs. Theatre historian and critic Sirató Ildikó, who has been a regular guest at the festival and theatre forum, gives a general overview of the theatre productions seen, from more and less successful adaptations of classical texts to creative, original performances experimenting with a more dynamic actor-audience relationship. Sirató analizes in more detail the production Pigem ei (I Prefer Not To) of the Von Krahl Theatre directed by Johan Ulfsak, a small scale performance that thematizes the issue of social and workplace behaviour in a way that is timeless and actual at the same time.
