Summary/Abstract: The article briefly presents the Slavic Parallel Corpus ParaSol, developed in collaboration of the University of Bern in Switzerland and the University of Regensburg in Germany. After the corpus structure and levels of annotation have been outlined, the query language is described and demonstrated. The second part of the article depicts ParaSol’s applicability in contrastive linguistics research. It is exemplified by an analysis of perfective and imperfective verbs used in the imperative mood.
