Summary/Abstract: For about six months I have worked nonstop and in an assiduous manner on this master thesis in the quest to explore the aspect of leadership styles and decision-making approaches in nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). The study dealt with the definition and a brief history of NGOs, different types, what they are and do and how they are funded. The second focus area is contemporary leadership styles in NGOs and finally decision-making procedures. The research was conducted through books, journals, peer thesis sample, internet search, survey and oher literature review respectively. Not forgetting the constant advice and input from my mentor and advisor. Through his genuine and realistic pieces of advice, which served as a modelling effect in seeing this thesis stems into fruition.
