Summary/Abstract: The article offers an overview of the theoretical positions and the experimental results published in the author’s monograph „National Cooperative Communicative Behaviour: From Cognition to Discourse” (Kyiv, 2018). The research is relevant because it is related to the connection of language and the consciousness of its speakers as representatives of a certain society, the relationship of language and culture, and the influence of sociocultural and psychological factors on the communicative behaviour formation. The author proposes both theoretical and experimental approaches, as well as the innovative triangulation methodology for the analysis of national cooperative communicative behaviour. The approaches will help to reveal universal and specific components of cooperative communication, i. e. from knowledge of the world to potential realization of its results, as well as in intercultural communication. The author draws on a comparative analysis of the Lithuanian language as well as its native speakers. This analysis will undoubtedly enhance further research in Baltic and Lithuanian studies in Ukraine.
