Summary/Abstract: In literature, various genres can be identified that deal with different themes of historicity. This ranges from the so-called travel novel with historical references (e.g., Sylvia Iparraguirre Land of Fire) to the historical novel, such as Alfred Döblin's Wallenstein. But how can works from contemporary literature be located that process historical processes on the one hand and biographical material on the other, independently of each other, but which are mutually dependent? This contrast of now and before as a historical experiment in literary procedure presupposes epochal thinking. Through the added psychological reference of the author, who is the link between the two starting points, one attains to a new literary historiography against a psychological background.
