Summary/Abstract: Objective: To examine the challenges facing today’s labour market in the context of progressing automation and robotisation. Research Design & Methods: To achieve the purpose of this article, the subject literature and research reports were analysed.Findings: Selected benefits and costs related to the process of automation and robotisation in numerous spheres of the economy were identified and the consequences for the labour market were determined. Implications / Recommendations: Automation and robotisation processes have a significant impact on how the modern labour market functions for both employers and employees. Knowledge of the technological changes and possible problems on the labour market related to automation and robotisation is the starting point for developing effective measures to overcome these difficulties. Contribution: The article contributes to the discourse on changes in the labour market caused by progressive automation and robotisation.
