Summary/Abstract: The study sets out to analyse the novel Mesteralvók hajnala (Master-sleepers’ Dawn) by Gergely Huszti. It is divided into three parts, of which the first one approaches the novel from the key questions of contemporary young adult literature with its naturalistic, tabu-free way of expression in the foreground. The second part focuses on the worldbuilding of this fiction, as well as discusses tendencies of social policy in the narrative which can be paralleled with our own reality. Finally, the analysis tackles the poetic solutions in the novel, in particular with regard to the linguistic characteristics of the character horizons, the confession likeness and autoreferentiality, however, it also pays attention to points of connection to other contemporary works.
