Elena Evgenievna Koroleva (June 21, 1951 - April 20, 2021)

Summary/Abstract: Jelena Korolyova, Daugavpils University Professor, Dialectologist, Since 2008 she has been a member of the Commission for the Study of Old Believers of the International Committee of Slavists, wrote articles on lexicoraphy, ethnolinguistics, phraseology, and folklore. She published a unique work ‒ the first two volumes of the dictionary of Latgale Old Believers’ dialects (2017: A‒В, 2020: Г‒Ж), which reflect the spiritual culture of the Old Believers. Her works are an important contribution to the study of the language, culture, history of the Baltic Old Believers.
