Summary/Abstract: In the context of a Sustainable Europe by 2030, this paper evaluates the impact of EU membership of new member states on indicators related to sustainable development (GDP growth and unemployment rate). Some policy recommendations are made to achieve a sustainable growth in the EU new member states as Europe’s 2030 strategy requires.
