Summary/Abstract: In 1992, during the Dniester War, units of the 14th Russian Army intervened in the fight on behalf of the separatist forces, and remained there as a de facto support of the regime, with a component involved in the peacekeeping mission. Later to become the "Task Force of Russian Troops", acting under the command of the Western District of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, this component is difficult to follow in the details of its actions and endowments. The researcher has to choose between different estimates and comments of specialists in the field, in order to have the chance of conclusions and proposals as close as possible to real data.
