Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the linguistic elements, more exactly the characteristics of phonetical, morphological, lexical elements and the poetic form in Mihály Vörösmarty’s translation (1839) of the tragedy Julius Caesar written by William Shakespeare. Analyzing Vörösmarty’s translation we can also observe the richness of the literary language of the Hungarian reformist era.
