Ceramic smoking pipes from the regional museum collection in Gračanica

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the collection of six Ottoman ceramic pipes from the Local museum collection in Gračanica. The pipes belong to archeological finds which in BiH were mostly not paid attention to, so this type of archaeological find has been largely neglected. We find analogies for these ceramic pipes in Serbia, Romania, even Egypt, and can be dated from 17th to the 19th centuries. The pipes were processed according to Robinson’s and Vladislav-Nikolay typological schemes. Today, these ceramic pipes are part of the main setting of the Local museum collection in Gračanica.
