Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of research into triple-time rhythms from volumes 24 and 25 (“Mazowsze Polne” [‘Field’ Mazovia]) of Oskar Kolberg’s “Dzieła Wszystkie” (Complete works), conducted using Music Information Retrieval methodology. The source material, consisting of music records encoded in EsAC (Essener Assoziativ Code), was subjected to automatic analytical procedures using the WebEsAC application. The presented results complement Jan Stęszewski’s studies of mazurka rhythms in ‘field’ Mazovia, conducted on material from the same two Kolberg volumes in 1959–60. The paper’s second aim is to demonstrate the potential of computerised methods of analysis for the study of large databases.
