Summary/Abstract: The paper contributes to the discussion on the aspects of form of reading-books for primary education analysing such production features as age, intellectual and reading competence of the target group and reading-books possible aesthetic and pedagogical impact in view of the current conceptions of education. The author regards reading-books as elaborate anthologies that are based on specific requirements and illustrates compliance with these requirements in the selected reading-book series published by Fraus Publishing.
