Summary/Abstract: On February 6, 2021, the Eparchial Assembly of Bucharest Archdiocese met at the Palace of the Patriarchate for its annual working session, under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Beside the Head of our Church, the event was also attended by Vicar Bishops to the Patriarch Varlaam Ploieșteanul and Ieronim Sinaitul, by His Grace Timotei Prahoveanul, Vicar Bishop to the Patriarch - the Archdiocese of Bucharest, by the members of the Standing Eparchial Council, by monastery exarchs, as well as the heads of the 13 deaneries in Bucharest and Ilfov and Prahova counties. During the working session, participants examined the activities carried out by the departments of the Eparchial Administration throughout 2020, and new objectives and goals were set for the year 2021. All these activities, conducted in the Arhdiocese of Bucharest in 2020, were presented during the meeting by His Beatitude Patriarh Daniel, in a general report entitled „Prayer and charitable solidarity in times of pandemic”. Also, in parallel with the proceedings of the Eparchial Assembly’s commissions, a working session was held by the heads of the 13 deaneries of Bucharest and Ilfov and Prahova counties. They submitted reports and proposals for projects and programmes for the year 2021, especially centred around the topics dedicated to the Solemn Year dedicated to the pastoral care for Romanians abroad and Commemorative Year of the reposed in the Lord, as well as the liturgical and cultural significance of cemeteries. The meetings concluded with His Beatitude Patriarh Daniel awarding to „Cuvântul Vieții [The Word of Life]” Publishing House and to „Glasul Bisericii [Voice of the Church]” theological journal (the Metropolis of Wallachia and Dobrudja), the diploma „2020 - Solemn Year dedicated to the pastoral care of parents and children, and Commemorative Year of Romanian Orthodox Philanthropists” (with commemorative medal), as a token of appreciation for the results obtained following the „Evaluation of publishing houses and reviews specializing in humanities”- conducted at the end of 2020, by the National Academic Research Council.
