Summary/Abstract: The ten years of ministry of His Grace Andrei as Archbishop and Metropolitan of Cluj were celebrated through a number of cultural and religious events, beginning on Tuesday, 23 March 2021, with the anniversary celebration entitled Metropolitan Andrei – a decade of ministry at Cluj, conducted in the auditorium of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Cluj-Napoca, and culminating with the Holy Liturgy officiated on the Annunciation day – the patronal feast of the Metropolis, in the Metropolitan Cathedral in Cluj-Napoca. The personality of Archbishop and Metropolitan Andrei, as well as his activity carried out over his ten years in office at Cluj, were presented during the celebration by His Grace Benedict Bistrițeanul, Vicar Bishop to the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleacand Cluj, acad. Emil Burzo, honorary president of the Cluj-Napoca branch of theRomanian Academy, and pr. prof. dr. Ioan Chirilă, of the Faculty of OrthodoxTheology in Cluj-Napoca.Anniversary celebrations culminated on the patronal feast day – Thursday,March 25, at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Cluj-Napoca, where His EminenceAndrei, Archbishop of Vad, Feleac and Cluj and Metropolitan of Cluj, Maramureșand Sălaj, officiated the Holy Liturgy, alongside His Grace Iustin, Bishop ofMaramureș and Sătmar, His Grace Petroniu, Bishop of Sălaj, and His Grace BenedictBistriţeanul, Vicar Bishop to the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleac and Cluj. The religious service was also attended by His Grace Vasile Flueraş, Bishop emeritus of Cluj, as well as numerous citizens of Cluj, representatives of the local, county and central authorities, as well as representatives of institutions in Cluj and Bistrița-Năsăud counties.At the end of the Holy Liturgy, His Grace Iustin conveyed to Metropolitan Andrei the best wishes on behalf of the Metropolitan Synod, the clergy, monastics and faithful belonging to the three eparchies of the Metropolis. As a token ofappreciation and respect, His Eminence Metropolitan Andrei was offered an iconof the Theotokos, a blessing Cross, and a floral arrangement. His Eminence Andreithen thanked God for all His blessings, and thanked all those in attendance. He also spoke about the local importance of the feast of the Annunciation. The celebration concluded with a polychronion.
