Summary/Abstract: The modern world is often times deprived of the moral and spititual aspects, filled with onmipresent secularization, selectivity of faith as well as confusion between the realms of sacrum and profanum. A Christian who desires to achieve a lively relationship with God may at times feel lost in the reality surrounding him. Such struggle can be compared to the evangelical lost sheep, that is awaiting to be saved by its shepard (Luke 15, 1-7). The essence of christianity is to be found. Getting lost, however, becomes a chance to be found and saved; for that it is necessary to learn the ways of listening to the voice of our Good Shepard – God. He everlastinly searches for every human. Strarting from the 16th century, st.Ignaitus of Loyola teaches us how to listen to His voice. For that reason, he wrote „Exercitiaspiritualita”, whichdescribes methods of the meditation that has been used around the worldfor over five decades now. In the article „The christian meditation by st.Ignatius of Loyola” the author searches for the autenticity and the efectivenessof the st. Ignatius’ method. He tries to analyze the differences andcharacteristics of the two types of christian meditation and seeks an answerto the question: what – according to the st. Ignatius of Loyola – is the keyfactor of a fruitful meditation? In the article, we describe the methods of st.Ignatius’ contemplations and meditations. The author asures us that listeningto the voice of God using his method allows us to expierience beingfound by Him.
