Summary/Abstract: The question asked by Martin Heidegger applies to every pope, who inthe modern world is often seen as a Don Quixote in a white cassock, fightingagainst the dragon of nihilism. The Polish Dominican friar realized the teachings of JohnPaul II in his ministry, whom he consistently called John Paul the Great.The meetings of young people in Lednica, which were started by fatherGóra, are a spiritual monument to his fascination with the Pope, whoseteachings were for him a recipe for holiness.
