Summary/Abstract: This study aims to examine some applications of the national education system within educational administration science in terms of postmodern paradigms. The studies that the scientists put forward are giving new perspectives to science and giving people the chance to reinterpret life. Therefore, the way scientists interpret the world like other fields is pioneering in education by the emerging new understandings. New insights are bringing new practices to education and leading to radical changes in the education system. In this study, the influence of the paradigm shift on the practices of the education system will be examined in the process of closing a period when a modernist understanding prevails, and a postmodernist understanding emerges. This research examines the emergence of modern and postmodern paradigms, their differences and reflection on the world of science, and their projections on practices in educational administration. Some applications of the education system, such as the central and provincial structure of the education system, school types in national education, the preparation and regulation of the curriculum, teacher training and appointment criteria, the appointment of school principals, the budget system of schools and costume regulations in national education are examined comparatively in terms of modern-postmodern paradigms. Basic understandings in the theoretical background of these applications are put forward, and applicability in terms of the postmodern paradigm is discussed. As a result of the research, various proposals are presented for updating the applications exposed to change in our education system to be more contemporary.
