Summary/Abstract: Tezkires are one of the biographical sources that contain information about the lives, literary personalities and works of poets in Turkish classical literature. Although these kinds of sources constitute an important place in Turkish literary history, at the point of unearthing some poets who are not mentioned in the Tezkires, the majmuas (poetry journals) are sources for research in literary science. This study deals with the contributions of journals to biography studies. It also analyses the poems of three poets (Sayyid, Zihnî, 'Abdî) who were recorded as Rizevi in a poetry journal registered at the National Library 06 Mil Yz A 54 and for whom there is no information about their lives in the biographies, in terms of form and content. A ghazal belonging to each of the three poets has been identified in the journal. In all three ghazals written in the same Aruz pattern, the rhyme is generally composed of Arabic and Persian words, and the Redifs are composed of Turkish affixes or words. In ghazals, Sayyid expresses his personal feelings and excitement; Zihnî describes divine love; Abdi, on the other hand, deals with the beauty elements of the beloved. This study tries to introduce three poets whose biographies are not found in biographies to the world of literature.
