Summary/Abstract: The policy of the Secretary general of the Central Committee of the CPSU of the President of the USSR M. S. Gorbachev concerning association of Germany in 1989-1990 is analyzed; it is shown that on the most key problems of association of the two Germanys, it supported the West and didnt use those possibilities which were objectively available to the Soviet Union.
