Summary/Abstract: The paper examines issues of liability of one spouse for obligations made by another if between them there exists a statutory community of property. The first part explains the basic issues involved in a statutory community of property between spouses and common asset management, while the second part focuses on obligations made by only one spouse, and the attendant legal, economic and financial implications.
