Summary/Abstract: This collection of papers is a true testament to Dubravko’s lasting impact as it features contributions from several authors who participated in the original commemorative issue in 2008, and from a few new contributors. The idea behind this Special Issue was to showcase research that would hark back to Dubravko’s love of functional models/frameworks while also symbolizing his nascent interest in what some of the more distinctly Cognitive Linguistic insights could bring to our understanding of the functioning of language.
