Summary/Abstract: In this article, analysing the advertising texts published in women’s glossy magazines,we focused on anglicisms that are used to attract the attention of readers On thebasis of the collected material, examples of which are given in the paper, a numberof conclusions can be drawn about the types of borrowings that were the aim of theanalysis. It should be said that the goals pursued by the ad text largely depend on thetarget audience.
