Global networking and the development of the Internet have made great changes in economy and efficiency of the world economy. The progress of information and communication technology (ICT) and the advantages of the new economy are increasingly affecting the business organization in financial services and other economic sectors. The „Theory of Transaction costs'' as a means of analysis of specific transactions in financial services, using the theoretical foundations of digital/new institutional economics, has just been given in this paper. This theory argues that transaction costs can be determined and used for comparison of various business procedures.
