Summary/Abstract: The article generally focuses on the way of life, on the mistakes and achievements, on the festive moments of the family of barons and counts Pejačević living in the 18th – 19th century within the Habsburg monarchy. How they are established and imposed, how they leave their name in the history of the empire are the questions that need to be answered. The relations with the local subordinate population are also affected - the population that works in their properties, that lives in the settlements built by them and that studies in the schools maintained by them. What did the Pejačević family do during this long period of time – their representatives were landowners and merchants; military personnel; historians, writers, deputies; bans – the highest position reached by two members of the family, but which was also the highest authority for the Croats during the existence of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Part of the family's life is the realization of an idea borrowed from the Austrians: it is the construction of new settlements. The object of attention is the relations with the church, as well as the support for the schools. Charity. Generally speaking, the life of the Pejačević family is presented as part of the social, everyday life of the Habsburg monarchy; a particle that imitates and copies, but also gives a specific taste to everyday life in empires. Generally a special case based on everyday life in the great empire.
