Summary/Abstract: Easter eggs from Krzczonów are a piece of tangible heritage of Poland, while manual skills of folk artists is a part of intangible heritage. Easter eggs have been made using the batik technique for an oblivious time. Despite many cultural and social changes, they are still performed in and around Krzczonów. The article discusses the most important elements of the art of writing Easter eggs, techniques, ornaments and the issues of the creators. There are also some customs related to Easter eggs and their origins, as well as their past and present role in the culture of Krzczonów and the whole of Poland. The article is supplemented with drawings and photos of Easter eggs.
