Summary/Abstract: The 90th anniversary of the Salvatorian religious formation house in Bagno near Wroclaw is an opportunity to present the history of its library, which has been functioning in this house since its very beginnings in 1930. At first, it was a small book collection of a novitiate house within a German Province. After World War II, it became the home of the Polish Province of Salvatorians. A special event that initiated the dynamic development of the library was the foundation of the Higher Seminary in Bagno (1953). This article describes the history and present state of the library, which has not been the subject of a comprehensive study so far. The first part discusses the history of the book collection of the religious house in Bagno in the years 1930-1945. The second part shows library’s fate under the custody of Polish Salvatorians until 2020, with particular attention given to its essential role in the seminary formation. The last part constitutes a brief description of the current book collection.
