Summary/Abstract: This year marks 142 years since the occupation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 112 years since the annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and 102 years since the fall of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. In order to present this historical period, travelogue literature published in German was used, which is a direct testimony to the social circumstances in Sarajevo at that time, in significantly different circumstances. The selection of texts from three travelogues is a direct testimony to the circumstances in Sarajevo at the time. On the following pages, there are translations of a part of the travelogue that represent a first-class source for understanding the history of Sarajevo.
