Summary/Abstract: The Austro-Hungarian collection consists of some 4,000 items, including the legacies of several prominent Sarajevo families: Despić, Skarić, Besarović, Škaljić and Jeftanović. A major feature of this period is the “Mlada Bosna” (young Bosnia) collection and the related Nikola Trišić collection. A new collection, the Hasib Ramić, is currently being formed, consisting of the effects of the first magician in Sarajevo and the familiar Karađoz shadow theatre. Mirsad Avdić, history teacher, Sarajevo Museum consultant, designer of the permanent exhibition “Sarajevo 1878-1918.”
