Summary/Abstract: The work characterizes the modern state of European school education, technological changes taking place in the economy, translating into social, economic and educational changes, as well as new trends in school education, called Education 4.0. Therefore, the most important features of new education models and related examples of schools of the future are described: Ørested Gimnazjum (Kopenhagen, Denmark) - with spaces of innovative learning; Green School in Bali (Indonesia) – pursuing innovative education and teaching goals; The Waldorf School of the Peninsula (California, USA) as an example of innovative teaching and learning; Awecademy (Canada) – implementing an innovative training program; or The Knowledge Society (USA and Canada), which includes an innovative curriculum.
