Summary/Abstract: Children`s literature provides a rich stimulating material for the interpretation of the text and development of the text comprehension by primary education pupils. The paper analyses the books of Gabriela Futova and Tamara Simoncikova Heribanova whose works stem from everyday situations regarding a family life. Firstly, the paper deals with a detailed analysis of the Mission Eva: Top Secret by Tamara Simoncikova Heribanova. Secondly, it discusses possibilities of the development of the text comprehension in this book.
