Summary/Abstract: The topic of the article is the issue of witnesses gained through turning state’s evidence as extraordinary evidential sources in a criminal procedure. The main matters discussed in the article are the genesis of turning state’s evidence law and solutions in this matter proposed by different countries. Additionally, the author describes criminal and political causes of passing the turning state’s evidence bill and witness’s conditions required to use this law as well as the issue of exceptional situations in which it can be applied.
