Summary/Abstract: Everyday life is changing under the pressure of virtual networks and the Internet. Each of us has a legal sphere, including personal data. As the collection and processing of this personal data has become increasingly important, there is a need to protect it through various legal means. At the same time, legal norms have emerged that sanction the failure to take the necessary measures for protection and illegal intrusion into the computer systems where this data is stored. Although the legislator has provided sanctions for the theft of personal data and their use without the consent of the holder, people are still the most exposed, due to lack of education in the field and the fact that they do not take minimum protection measures.
