The relation “absorptive capacity – foreign direct investment”

Summary/Abstract: This article offers an extensive review of the theoretical and empirical literature to clarify the conceptual framework of absorptive capacity, using micro- and macro-approach. The study aims to draw attention to the vital role of absorptive capacity in relation to inward FDI. To achieve the set goal, the focus of research is narrowed to common for both approaches socio-educational factors, constituting the absorption capacity, which are directly related to the effective absorption of spillover effects from inward FDI, respectively ensuring long-term development of the national economy.
