Summary/Abstract: This article addresses the issue of improving legal awareness in society, as an element shaping the culture of trust. The challenges of contemporary times, both global and local, encourage reflection on the importance of law as an instrument that shapes interpersonal relations. Although the need for knowledge of law is undeniable, the decreasing legal awareness in Polish society should be viewed with concern. The aim of this article is to initiate a broader debate on this issue, and to encourage interdisciplinary research that will lead to the formulation of concrete conclusions and proposals for change. These recommendations will contribute to specific actions that will support the improvement of legal awareness in society, and also form the basis for another discussion on the legal education of future generations of lawyers – an issue which has long been the subject of lively debate among the representatives of legal sciences in other countries, and which also seems to be necessary in Poland.
