Summary/Abstract: Description of the elements of culture refl ected not only in the national, but also in the regional linguisticpicture of the world is relevant for modern linguistics. Studying the regional concept sphere verbalized in thenational paremiological corpus, toponymy, precedent names and texts containing historical and modern realities ofthe city helps to reveal and describe the linguistic personality of the Tula resident as a member of Russian society.The purpose of the article is a linguoculturological description of the content and structure of the “Tula gingerbread”concept as an element of the Russian national picture of the world, serving as a means of verbalizing national culture,communicative strategies and tactics of the representatives of the Russian ethnos. The study material comprised traditionalinscriptions on Tula gingerbread products, the national (and regional) paremiological corpus, and data fromthe Russian National Corpus. The author conducted a linguocognitive analysis of the informative, imaginative andpragmatic fi elds of the studied concept. Studying the “Tula gingerbread” onym as an element of the Russian nationalsubject cultural code in a foreign classroom reveals Russian national prescriptions and communicative tactics to therepresentatives of other cultures and teaches them how to understand and analyze the meaning and intentional contentof Russian people’s actions and to regulate their communicative behavior in the Russian-speaking environment properlyand harmoniously.
