Summary/Abstract: Plotinus, the founder of Neo-Platonism, in his work Enneads, defined virtues and vices, and classified them describing also their action on the human soul and building an ethical ideal. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the actions of virtues and vices on the human soul and how the practising of virtues can recover and lead the soul to higher levels until it attains wisdom in its ascension to the state of the divine man resembling the first or supreme God.
