Summary/Abstract: Elsa Triolet (1896-1970) was the first woman to win the Goncourt Prize for Literature. She was not only a writer. Also, she was a journalist, a literary and theater critic, a translator from Russian into French and from French into Russian. The subject of our research in this paper is her translation work. Almost all of the author's translation work is included in the research, which is divided into several parts. The first part includes her earliest translations. The following is a section on her translations of Mayakovsky into French. Elsa Triole self-translated her novels written in Russian into French. We consider this segment of her work in the special part of the paper. Elsa's thoughts on translating poetry and prose from one language to another are presented in the final part of the paper.
