Summary/Abstract: In the first part of this review, I describe the concepts used in the book. Next, the paper follows the four periods of institutionalization and evolution of national sociological thinking from a historical and didactic perspective. Each period is characterized by the contributions of its representative authors. In another chapter, the author describes the teaching staff and the graduates from the Faculty of Philosophy, specialization Sociology at the University of Bucharest. Finally, a gallery of sociologists with their achievements is presented. This review captures the value and usefulness of the book for understanding the history of Romanian sociological thinking.
