Summary/Abstract: The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has been shaping everyday life on a global and local scale for a year now. The impact of a pandemic on certain parts of reality, including the functioning of all age groups, social, professional and other, is increasing. More and more people need various forms of help and support. The text presents the results of pilot studies on the functioning situation of volunteers as well as organizations and institutions that use social work. It must have clearly also touched on the possibilities of developing volunteering, difficulties, but also ways of overcoming the fear of supporting other people, which evoke everyday solidarity and changes the style of volunteering.
