Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, the human mind has been attacked by various perception management methods. Media is a frequently used tool in managing human perceptions. Under the influence of these methods, people act more according to their perceptions than the facts. However, perceptions do not always correspond to reality. In this context, the negative perception about Muslims, the new other/enemy of the Western world, is most often formed through the Holy Qur'an. In the current study, two examples that seem to contradict current perceptions are examined from the perspective of the Qur'an. These examples are the marriage of Hz. Muhammad with Hz. Aisha and Hz. Zeyneb, the issue of polygamy and slavery. Our study is qualitative research and is based on a literature review. First of all, it is discussed how these issues take place in the Hijaz-Arab culture and the Qur'an. The suitability of the practices examined as an example to the existing culture is revealed by the viewpoint of the polytheists, Jews, and hypocrites. Then, the claims of some authors who are orientalist and biased against the Islamic religion in our country regarding these issues are included. Some examples are used from social media, where researchers can no longer remain ignorant. Finally, the following table emerges. The current perception is first converted into value; then this perception is transferred to other times and becomes a criteria for evaluation, and different practices that do not comply with this measure are discredited. Based on the narrations in classical works, especially the verses of the Qur'an, a discrediting activity is made. However, the verses of the Qur'an are read literal away from their socio-cultural environments, distorting them and generally falling into anachronism.
