PROBLEMS AND POSSIBLE REMEDIES IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN REGARD TO SCHOOL PRINCIPAL’S PERCEPTIONS

Summary/Abstract: Today, where a great change is experienced in every field, change has become an important factor for organizations to continue their existence. The vital importance of change in the existence of the organization comes to the fore in educational organization comes to the fore in educational organizations as in other systems. The adoption of new understandings in management has become increasingly important in educational organizations. The aim of this research is to determine the existing problems in schools by referring to the perceptions of school administrators and to develop possible solutions. Qualitative research consists of 10 school administrators workng in primary and secondary schools in Düzce city center. Data were collected with a structured interview form. Data analysis was made with the content analysis method and codes and themes were created from the answers in the interview forms. At the and of the research, it has been determined that the problems encountered in the schools are related to communication, physical condition and management skills and these problems are at different levels according to the type of schools, the number of teachers and students, and the social economic dimension.
