The Policy of Acquisition and the Management of Quality (II)

Summary/Abstract: This paper is precisely structured into three parts. First of all, it deals with the libraries’ areas of interest, defining this concept and its components. Then, it refers to the ways of developping the funds, analyzing both the traditional ways, which must be maintained, but improved, and the new ways; there’s a special paragraph dedicated to the franchise, which is so familiar to the EU countries, and yet almost unknown in Romania. The third aspect refers to the planning of the fund formation and its check, showing all the steps needed in this process.The conclusion is that of the importance of the co-existence of the traditional and the modern ways, the constant need of improvement and the importance of adjusting to social needs and social development.
