Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the role of selected online activities in organizations from the public benefit sector. The purpose of this article is to present an outline of issues related to the role of selected online activities in organizations from the public benefit sector, because this issue seems to be still not fully known and practised in the functioning of organizations from the NGO sector. The article deals with the issue of organizations from the public benefit sector. Strengths and weaknesses werepresented in relation to the activities of public benefit organizations. Attention was also paid to terms such as federation, foundation and association when it comes to the NGO sector. Internet communication was presented in the aspect of public benefit organization and the focus was on the opportunities it gives NGOs. The use of selected applications and websites in the activities of organizations representing the NGO sector was also presented. The issue of social media, websites and emailing was presented in the aspect of functioning of organizations representing the NGO sector. The Internet was also presented as a beneficial aspect in the promotion of NGO activities and the issue of Internet marketing in this sector. A research report on the activities of non-governmental organizations in Poland was presented, as well as the phenomenon of the on-line communication of organizations representing the third sector and the aspect of modern technologies taken up in relation to the functioning of these organizations.
